Cycles & Chaos

Cycles & Chaos

Course: Publication

Cycles & Chaos is a publication that tells two different stories connecting the cycles and chaos of the moon in a do-si-do styled magazine. The first half of the magazine, cycles, and connects tides, menstrual cycles, and phases of the moon. Metaphorically using the phases as a way of moving through the magazine. The other half of the book will be chaos, connecting the visual identity of this half of the magazine to its disorderly effects. I want the readers to learn the two parallel and perpendicular faces of the moon. There is this cyclical and peaceful side to the moon though, there is also the disordered and obscure side as well. It’s important we know both sides since they impact us so much in ways we don’t even notice or understand but, could manipulate these effects to our advantage.

Embark on a journey through the captivating fusion of nature and architecture with the Biomimicry in Contemporary Architecture Poster, curated for the MoMa exhibit. Skillfully crafted typography channels the dynamic essence of natural elements—from the fluidity of movement to the interplay of light, textures, and hues—echoing the beauty inherent in our surroundings. Embracing a minimalist aesthetic, my design seeks to instill a sense of serenity and wonder, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the event.

Taking innovation a step further, the addition of motion to the poster serves to deepen the experience, amplifying the sensations of tranquility while generating heightened anticipation and awareness for the exhibit.
